John A. Lauruska, dedicated family man and Chief Engineer at Lincoln Center in New York City, passed away on April 10, 2024, in Port Jefferson, NY. He was born on February 16, 1952, in Queens, NY to loving parents Anthony and Margaret Lauruska.
John was known for his exceptional skills and unwavering commitment to his profession. As the Chief Engineer at Lincoln Center, he left a lasting impact on the renowned institution through his hard work and passion for excellence.
Beyond his successful career, John was a beloved husband, father, brother, and son. He is survived by his loving wife Veronica Lauruska; his children James (Estela) Schubert, Kerry Ann Santantonio, Deborah Ann Schubert and her husband Barry Tacktill, Michael (Nicole) Lauruska, Daniel (Angela) Lauruska; as well as his grandchildren: Matthew, Gavin, Owen, Addison, Cooper, Anthony, Cecilia, Liliana, Adelyn, Rebecca, Emily, Christopher (Sarah), Camila; and great grandson Ethan. John is predeceased by his brother, George Lauruska and parents Anthony and Margaret Lauruska.
Visitation will be held for John at Mangano Funeral Home of Middle Island on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. On Saturday, April 13, 2024, a Funeral Mass will be held at St. Frances Cabrini R.C. Church, at 10:00am.
John's kindness and wisdom extended to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His dedication to his family and profession serves as an inspiration to all. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, colleagues at Lincoln Center, and all those whose lives he touched.
