John D. Santo, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, passed peacefully on August 20 2024, at the age of 78. Born on December 7, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York, John graced this world with his kind nature and spirit that touched the lives of everyone he met.
As a man, John honorably served in the Marine Corps from 1963 to 1965. This period defined much of his character, instilling in him values of discipline, camaraderie, and a profound dedication to those he loved. Upon returning to civilian life, he became not just a devoted family man, but also a steadfast pillar for his daughters, Amber Gotay and Megan (her husband Brian) Torres.
John's greatest joy, however, came from being a grandfather. He was a beacon of unconditional love and support for his grandchildren: Anthony, Ryan, Jake, Cheynne, Harleigh, and Gio. Whether sharing stories of his youthful adventures, or simply enjoying time spent together, his nurturing presence made all the difference in their lives. Each grandchild holds a treasured piece of him within their hearts, embodying the love he freely gave.
John David Santo leaves behind a loving family who will forever remember him as a kind-hearted soul whose love knew no bounds. As they grieve, they find solace in the beautiful memories they created together and the enduring impact he made in their lives. Rest in peace, dear John; you will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
