Joseph L. Elliard, born on August 12, 1936, in Mobile, Alabama, left this world on March 21, 2025. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, whose commitment to service reflected his deep love for his country and community. Joseph’s life was one marked not just by his military dedication but also by the profound love he carried for his family.
Joseph is survived by his four devoted Children, Yvette Elliard-Liburd, Joseph L. Elliard, Jr., Tanya R. Elliard, and Kelly Elliard-Norton, each of whom carries forward this legacy of strength and compassion that defined their father's spirit. He was a loving grandfather to eight grandchildren, who bring him joy even in his absence, and a cherished great-grandfather to five great-grandchildren, whose laughter will continue to echo within the walls of family gatherings, always carrying a piece of him with them.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary F. Elliard, who passed away in 2022. Their bond was an enduring testament to love, shared laughter, and a commitment that weathered all of life’s storms.
A celebration of Joseph's life will be held at Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, where family and friends can gather to honor his memory. Visitation will take place on March 27, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on March 28, 2025, from 9:30 AM until 10:00 AM.
