Joseph Vacirca, a beloved tailor at Village Bridal & Formals in Central Islip, NY, has passed away at the age of 88. Born on May 29, 1935, in Sicily, Joseph's life was one filled with love, dedication, and craftsmanship.
Joseph's journey in the world of fashion began early on as he honed his skills and passion for tailoring. He dedicated his career to perfecting the art of clothing design and alterations at Village Bridal & Formals. For many years, Joseph skillfully crafted beautiful garments that brought joy to countless brides and grooms on their special day.
Beyond his impressive career, Joseph was a cherished and adored man who touched the lives of those around him. He had a warm heart that radiated kindness and generosity towards everyone he encountered. Joseph's unwavering love and support for his family were truly remarkable.
He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Rosa A. Vacirca. Their enduring partnership was an inspiration to all who knew them, a testament to true love's lasting power. Joseph's legacy also lives on through his devoted daughters; Angelina (her husband Gilbert) Misner, and Concetta (her Fiancée Michael Armani) Vacirca. His grandchildren; Anthony (Brianne) Misner, Joseph (Ela) Misner, Travis McDonough, and Kristin (Harrison) Lave embraced the wisdom he imparted on them throughout their lives. His great-grandchild Aidan Misner brought joy to Joseph's later years with his contagious laughter and playfulness. Joseph also shared a special bond with his sister Maria (her fiancée Roger Sabo) Cunsolo and (the late) brother Salvatore, and his wife Angela as well as his niece Maria Angela and her children and nephew Anthony, his wife Donna and their children. Together they navigated life's adversities while cherishing each other's support.
As we gather to remember and celebrate Joseph's life, visitation services will be held at Deer Park- Mangano Family Funeral Home on September 6, 2023. The first visitation will begin at 2:00 PM and conclude at 4:30 PM, and the second visitation will commence at 7:00 PM and extend until 9:30 PM. The funeral home, located at 1701 Deer Park Ave in Deer Park, NY, will provide a warm and welcoming space for family and friends to pay their respects.
Joseph Vacirca's memory will forever remain etched in our hearts as we hold dear the moments spent with him. May he rest in peace knowing the profound impact he had on all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
