June C. Dolson

June C. Dolson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, was born on June 5, 1936, in Oceanside, New York. After a fulfilling life dedicated to caring for others, she passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024, in Huntington, New York.

June had a distinguished career as a Health Care Secretary, where she provided invaluable support and assistance, demonstrating her deep commitment to the health care community. Her warm demeanor and unwavering dedication made a significant impact on her colleagues and those she served. June was well-educated, holding a bachelor's degree that set the foundation for her professional journey. A true testament to her strength and resilience, she embraced life's challenges with grace and kindness.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Jerry; loving daughters, Loreen Meserole (her husband John), and Sharon L. Stone (her husband Eric). June’s legacy continues through her twelve adoring grandchildren: Jodi, Jamie, Dyanna, Melissa, Justine, Sean, Steven, Emily, Brian, Katie, Kevin, and Kristin. Additionally, she cherished her six great-grandchildren: Colton, Brielle, Michael, Angelina, Darius, and Sena, along with her great-great-grandchild, Amelia. June was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Clara Thistle, whose guiding presence in her life will always be remembered. She is also survived by Thomas (Cynthia) Marchessault (son), and Andrew (Janet) Marchessault (son). 

A Memorial Gathering in honor of June will be held on October 6, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Mangano Family Funeral Home Of Middle Island in Middle Island, NY. A Funeral Mass at St. Louis de Montfort R.C. Church in Sound Beach, NY, will be held on the following day, Monday, October 7, 2024, beginning at 10:00 AM.  Entombment will follow the funeral mass at Calverton National Cemetery.

As we remember June, we celebrate her beautiful spirit and the profound love she shared with all who knew her. Her enduring legacy will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
