Kathryn A. Jackson, of Center Moriches, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025. She was born on December 14, 1936, in Aquebogue, NY., Kathryn spent her lively years bringing joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her.

A high school graduate, Kathryn embarked on a fulfilling career as a parts clerk for Grumman Aerospace in Calverton, NY, where her attention to detail and vibrant personality made her a valued member of the team. Her fashionable sense and energetic spirit illuminated every room she entered, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her colleagues and friends.

Kathryn’s true essence shone through in her love for cooking and baking. Family gatherings were a testament to her culinary talent, as her kitchen was often filled with the mouthwatering aromas of delectable dishes. She had a knack for turning simple meals into unforgettable experiences, ensuring that every moment shared was steeped in love.

A dedicated sports fan, Kathryn found joy in cheering for her favorite teams, the Mets and the Lakers. Her passion for these sports created connection and camaraderie, drawing her family into spirited conversations and lively debates, each moment treasured and filled with laughter.

She is survived by her loving children—Albert (Betty) Pertillar, Sheryl Pertillar, Edward (Elaine) Pertillar, and Linda Pertillar—along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom were recipients of her unconditional love and support. Her brother, Robert Brown, and sister, Linda Bullock, also remain as a testament to her resilient family ties. The warmth she radiated, combined with her passionate zest for life, will echo through the memories of those who had the privilege to call her family and friend.
