Laurie Anne Lugo, a beloved wife and mother, passed away on January 17, 2024. She was adored by her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Born on May 29, 1964, in Brooklyn, NY, Laurie grew up in a loving family that instilled in her the values of hard work, kindness, and compassion. She carried these qualities with her throughout her life, making a positive impact on everyone she encountered.
She is survived by her loving spouse Michael Lugo, her daughter Elena Lugo, and her son Joseph Lugo. May they find solace in the cherished memories they shared with Laurie and in the knowledge that her spirit will forever live on in their hearts.
After earning her Bachelor's Degree, Laurie pursued a successful career as a real estate office manager at Garvey Properties. Her dedication and exceptional organizational skills made her an invaluable asset to the company. But beyond her professional accomplishments, Laurie was cherished for her warm personality and willingness to go above and beyond to help others.
Outside of work, Laurie found the greatest joy in being a devoted spouse and mother. Her love for her husband Michael was unwavering throughout their years together. Their bond served as an inspiration to everyone who witnessed their deep connection.
Laurie's children Elena and Joseph were the light of her life. She took pride in supporting them in their pursuits and sharing countless memorable moments as a family. Her unconditional love nurtured their dreams and helped shape them into the remarkable individuals they are today.
In addition to her immediate family, Laurie leaves behind a wide circle of dear friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with her. Whether through joyful celebrations or moments of solace during difficult times, Laurie had an extraordinary ability to bring people together and make them feel heard and understood.
To honor Laurie's life and celebrate her many contributions, visitation services will be held at Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home on January 21, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The following day, on January 22, 2024, a Mass will take place at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church in Deer Park, NY, starting at 11:15 AM.
Laurie Anne Lugo's legacy will endure through the countless lives she touched with her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love. Her warmth and generosity will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known her.
