Lawrence T. DiBlasi, born on July 15, 1942, in Queens, New York, died peacefully on April 11, 2025, in Stony Brook, New York. A dedicated professional and beloved family man, Larry made a significant impact on the lives of many throughout his career and personal life.
Larry served his country honorably in the Army from 1966 to 1968, during which he earned both the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. Following his military service, he devoted much of his professional life to the field of healthcare, ultimately achieving the position of General Manager of Home Healthcare at Ocean Breeze in Staten Island, NY. His leadership and compassion touched countless lives, as he tirelessly worked to ensure quality care for those in need.
A strong foundation in education supported Larry's career, as he proudly held a Bachelor's Degree. His commitment to both his profession and his family exemplified his character and values.
He is survived by his cherished spouse, Lenore; his son Wes; and his daughter Lorian (Brant) Macpherson. Larry was also a proud grandfather of two, Peyton and Regan, with whom he shared many joyful moments. Additionally, he is remembered fondly by his two brothers, Louis and Donald.
Visitation will be held at Mangano Family Funeral Home of Middle Island, located at 640 Middle Country Rd, Middle Island, NY, on April 15, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass will be celebrated in his honor at Saint Mark's R.C. Church, 105 Randall Rd, Shorham, NY, on April 16, 2025, starting at 10:15 AM. Following the service, Larry will be laid to rest at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Boulevard, Calverton, NY, at 11:30 AM.
As we remember Lawrence T. DiBlasi, we celebrate a life well-lived; one characterized by love, service, and dedication. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
