Leonard D. Usher, born on February 7, 1943, in Queens, New York, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024, in Stony Brook, New York. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose legacy will continue to resonate through his beloved family. Leonard's journey included proud service in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965, where he exemplified dedication and commitment. His military experience shaped his character and instilled in him values that he carried throughout his life. In his personal life, Leonard leaves behind his loving wife, Connie Usher, with whom he shared countless memories and a deep bond. He was also the cherished father of Aviann, Leonard Austen and Laycee. Leonard took immense pride in his role as a grandfather to his grandchildren: Imanuel, Ian, Madison, Austen, Amarie, Avery, and Jubilee. Each child held a special place in his heart, and he found great joy in their accomplishments and milestones. Leonard will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the unwavering love he had for his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but the impact he made on the lives of those who knew him will endure.
