Louisa M. Lamont

Louisa M. Lamont, a beloved teacher, passed away on December 26, 2023, at the age of 89 in Huntington, New York. She was born on December 9, 1934, in Queens, New York. Louisa is survived by her loving spouse, Harry Lamont, and her two sons, Robert Lamont and John Lamont.

Louisa dedicated her life to the field of education and made a significant impact on countless students throughout her career. She held a Masters Degree in Education and possessed an unwavering passion for teaching. Louisa's commitment to her profession went beyond the classroom as she constantly sought innovative ways to inspire and motivate her students.

In remembrance of Louisa's remarkable life, visitation services will be held on January 1, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Park Ave in Deer Park, NY. 

A Mass in honor of Louisa's memory will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on January 2, 2024 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary RC Church located at 175 Wolf Hill Road in Melville, NY. 

Following the Mass, family and friends will gather at Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery located at 172-00 Booth Memorial Ave in Flushing, NY for the interment ceremony. This final farewell to Louisa is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM.

Louisa M. Lamont will forever be remembered for her unwavering dedication to education and her profound impact on those whose lives she touched. Her legacy continues through her family and the countless individuals she guided throughout her life.  May her soul rest in eternal peace.
