Louise E. Burgess, passed away on December 1, 2023. She was known for her kind nature and lovable personality, which touched the lives of many. Louise was born on October 11, 1940, in South Carolina to the Late Johnnie and the Late Ada Epps.
Louise dedicated her career to serving others and ensuring that guests at the Landmark hotel were provided with exceptional service. Her commitment to her work was unwavering, and she brought a sense of warmth and hospitality to everyone she encountered.
Outside of work, Louise cherished spending time with her loved ones. She was a devoted wife to the Late William (A.K.A. Billy) James Burgess, Jr., and their bond was an inspiration to all who knew them. Louise's love extended to include her daughters Debby Akines and Brenda Durham. They were not only recipients of her unwavering affection but also benefitted from her guidance and support throughout their lives. Louise's legacy is carried forward by her daughters, as well as many family members and friends.
A visitation will be held on December 8th, 2023 at Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park, NY (1701 Deer Pk Ave). The visitation will begin at 2:00 PM and conclude at 5:00 PM.
Louise E. Burgess will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of crossing paths with her during her lifetime. Her kind spirit and genuine care for others will remain etched in our hearts forever. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, it is with gratitude and fond memories that we celebrate her life and the lasting impact she had on those around her.
