In loving memory of Marcella E. Balestrieri, who peacefully passed away at Luxor Mills Pond Nursing and Rehabilitation. Marcella was born in West Virginia on November 22, 1926. She was a vibrant soul known for her active lifestyle and independent spirit.
Marcella leaves behind a legacy as a successful business owner of Kaylees Ceramic Studio in Deer Park, NY, and a dedicated bookkeeper for Helmsley-Spear in NYC, NY. Her entrepreneurial drive and meticulous work ethic earned her the respect and admiration of all who knew her.
Marcella will forever be cherished for the warmth she exuded and the joy she brought into the lives of those around her. She had an extensive circle of friends, a testament to her kind heart and welcoming nature. Her love for Bingo and frequent visits to Atlantic City brought laughter and excitement to many adventures shared with loved ones.
Family was Marcella's greatest treasure. While she is reunited with her husband Joseph and children Micheal, Roseann, and Carolyn in heaven, she leaves behind her son John Balestrieri, daughters Katherine Salerno, Nancy Roberts, Linda Lembo, along with 21 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Marcella's love extended even to her grand-dog Butch, who loved running away to Grandma's house.
Her large holiday gatherings were a symbol of unity and celebration where everyone felt at home. The memories created during these festive occasions will forever be cherished by all who attended.
Services to honor Marcella's life will be held at Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home on March 21st for visitation from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
