Maria Carone

Maria Carone, a beloved seamstress from New York, has passed away on May 16, 2023, at the age of 91. She was born in Italy on November 10, 1931.

Maria loved spending time with her family, who will always hold a special place in their hearts for her. Her passing has left a void that cannot be filled, but they take solace in knowing that Maria is now resting peacefully.

Maria leaves behind a family that loved her dearly. She is survived by her loving children Frank (Josephine) Carone, Maria (Russell) Abbate, Nicola (Denise) Carone, and Porzia (Joseph) Schnettler; eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

Maria was a hardworking and caring individual who spent most of her life dedicated to her family and her craft. She pursued her passion for sewing and used her skills to create beautiful garments that were treasured by her clients.

Maria's memory will be cherished by everyone who knew her. She will always be remembered for the love and kindness she showed to those around her. Her legacy is a reflection of the values that she upheld throughout her life.

Maria's family wishes to invite friends and acquaintances to celebrate Maria's life through visitations on Thursday, May 18th from 2:00 pm until 4:30 pm and from 7:00 pm until 9:30 pm at the Deer Park- Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park NY 11729.

A mass will be held in Maria's honor on Friday, May 19th at Our Lady of Lourdes R.C. Church located at 455 Hunter Avenue, West Islip, NY 11795. The mass will begin at 10:30 am.

Maria Carone lived a life that was full of love, laughter, and kindness. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Her legacy will continue to inspire others for generations to come.
