Maria DellaGuardia

Maria DellaGuardia, a beloved mother and cherished grandmother, passed away on October 12, 2024, at the age of 68, in Huntington Station, NY. Born on March 30, 1956, in Bay Shore, NY, Maria's life was marked by her dedication to family and her passion for her career. She enjoyed a fulfilling tenure as a caterer with Morrell Catering in Dix Hills, where her culinary skills enriched countless gatherings and celebrations.

She leaves behind her loving children, Danielle DellaGuardia, Richard DellaGuardia, and Rob Bishop. Maria's legacy continues through her grandchildren Kailea, Robert, Gabriella and Adelina, all of whom were a great source of joy in her life. Each moment spent with them was a testament to her nurturing spirit and deep love for family. Maria also leaves behind her sisters Amy Pedone and Sandra Cimolonski, as well as her nieces and nephews; Jaime, Renee, Damien, Danny, Jonathan, and Justin. Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Carmine and Carolina Lombardi, who instilled in her the values of kindness and resilience that she carried throughout her life. 

A visitation will be held on October 17, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY.  On Thursday, October 18, 2024, a funeral mass will be held at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church in Deer Park, beginning at 10:15am.  Following the funeral mass, family and friends will proceed to Saint Charles Cemetery, where Maria will be laid to rest. 

Maria DellaGuardia will be remembered not only for her culinary talents but also for her compassionate heart and the profound impact she had on her family and friends. Her memory will continue to live on in the lives of all who loved her.
