Marie Yvrose Guelee is a woman whose kind and caring nature touched the lives of many. On August 9, 2024, at the age of 74, God decided to take her from us. Yvrose was born on May 6, 1950, in Haiti, a place she held dear to her heart. She was born to her parents, Lusina Perceval and Lerison Guelce. Yvrose was raised in a family of seven siblings and is survived by two brothers, Alcuis and Raymond, and a sister, Solange.
Yvrose will be fondly remembered for her kind heart and resilient personality. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever be treasured by her family and friends. She is survived by her children: Nirva Joseph, Fritz Leger, Ketia Pierre, Jean Leger, and Gretshaida Guelee. Yvrose was also a mother to, Henry Sylvestre, Betty Clairvil, and Junior Pierre. Yvrose is further survived by her four grandchildren Guernie, Clevon, Keven, and Loyal, and one great-grandchild Gianna, who brought immense joy to her life. Yvrose dedicated herself to her family, nurturing and guiding each of her children with unconditional love and unwavering support. Her presence illuminated the lives of those around her, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
The funeral service to honor and celebrate Yvrose's life will be held on August 24, 2024, starting at 9:00 AM at Saint Brigid R.C. Church located at 85 Post Avenue, Westbury, NY 11590, allowing family members, friends, and acquaintances to pay their final respects to a remarkable woman who graced this world with her kindness and warmth. Family and friends who wish to attend the service are asked to meet directly at church. A burial will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, 321 Jericho Turnpike, Old Westbury, NY 11568.
Marie Yvrose Guelee will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her spirit continues to shine brightly in the memories and hearts of those who were touched by her love. May she rest in peace, knowing that she had a profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
