Marie Podesta

Marie Podesta has passed away peacefully at the age of 95. Marie was born on September 2nd, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York to parents Emilio and Nancy. After completing her high school education, she discovered her passion for garment stitching and pursued it in New York. Her exquisite craftsmanship and superior work ethic made her a cherished member of the local community -both professional and personal.

Marie is survived by her daughter Diane M. (Gary) Errera, loving granddaughter Michelle Errera and great-grandchild Ricky. Together with other family members and countless friends, they mourn Marie’s loss in their everyday lives. 

Marie will be remembered as a humble but caring person with deep-rooted kindness in her heart. She always had a smile on her face for everyone who crossed her path. From consoling friends in times of trouble to lending an ear to those in need, she was never too busy to help those around her.

Marie's funeral services, including visitation and graveside service will take place on May 22nd at Deer Park- Mangano Family Funeral Home and Pinelawn Memorial Park, respectively.

The loss of such a caring and kind-hearted soul like Marie's is challenging to accept for all who knew her; however, we take solace in knowing that she has left behind an inspiring legacy of kindness and compassion that will live on for years to come.
