Marjorie E. Lamb of Riverhead died June 13, 2018 at Peconic Bay Medical Center. She was 77 years old.

Born on Sept. 13, 1940 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Richard and Alethia (Bembry) Skinner.

She worked as a caregiver for Comfort Keepers. She loved ballroom dancing and enjoyed gardening and cooking. She loved animals and worked as a rescue volunteer.

Predeceased by her husband Henry C. Lamb Jr. and her sons, Henry III and Vernon, she is survived by her life partner John Virgilio, and her children, Patrick, Felecia, Rodney, Warren, Vincent and Phyllis. She is also survived by her brothers, Bishop L.D. Skinner and Calvin Skinner and by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 20 from 7 to 9 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Riverhead, 1018 Northville Turnpike, Riverhead. Closing prayers will be offered at the church on Thursday, June 21 at 10 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
