With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Maryellen Klein, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Mary was a woman of kindness and warmth who always put her family above all else. She passed away on February 18, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

Mary is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Stan Klein; her daughters, Melissa Bean and Jennifer Schuierer, and her late husband, Michael; and her adored grandchildren, Alexander and Benjamin Schuierer. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Elissa Seymour, and her late husband, Jess, as well as three nieces and a nephew.

She was predeceased by her beloved son, Adam Paul; her parents, Paula How and Kenneth Crawford; her sisters, Patricia Camarda and Susan Stinsman; and her faithful companion, her dog Buster.

Mary found immense joy in being a wife and mother, always treasuring the time spent with her family. She had a passion for crafts, cooking, gardening, and needlepoint, finding happiness in creativity and nurturing those around her. Throughout her career, she served as an executive secretary at Ideal Toys before later working as a keyboard specialist at Stony Brook.

Mary will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will remain in the hearts of those she touched forever.
