Michael P. Reisinger

March 18, 1959 — August 30, 2024

North Babylon, NY

Michael P. Reisinger, a devoted father and cherished member of his community, passed away on August 30, 2024. Born on March 18, 1959, in Queens, NY. Michael dedicated his life to serving others, first as a member the United States Airforce, where he was stationed all over the world for over 20 years. His military service instilled in him a profound sense of duty and commitment, which he carried with him throughout his life.

After his military tenure, Michael brought his strong work ethic to his career as a mechanic for the U.S. Postal Service at JFK Airport. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and dedication to his craft, he embodied the spirit of hard work and perseverance, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues.

Michael's greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his four loving sons, Noah, Jack, Mark, and David Reisinger. Each son carries a piece of their father's legacy, steeped in the values of kindness, resilience, and service to others. Michael relished in sharing his passions with his boys, often taking them fishing and exploring nature, where they would bond over shared adventures amidst the beauty of the great outdoors. An avid birdwatcher, he found joy and solace in the simple act of observing them, and he imparted that appreciation for nature onto his children.

Michael's personality was a tapestry woven from the fabric of his many virtues. He was known to be a great father, a hard worker, and someone who would give the shirt off his back for those in need. His warmth and generous spirit will be deeply missed. He held a profound love for his spouse, Nathania, who sadly passed away in 2020. Their love was a testament to devotion and partnership, and he often spoke of her with affection and admiration.

In this time of sorrow, we remember the laughter he brought to our lives, the lessons he imparted, and the unconditional love he shared with his family and friends. Michael’s legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched.
