Miriam Lamontagna

Miriam Contreras La Montagna, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on
October 4th, 2015 at 56 years old, after a courageous battle against brain
cancer. She leaves behind a large family of loved ones, and a wide circle of
friends and colleagues who will miss her wit and humor, love and caring, and the
special sparkle that she added to everything. She is survived by her wife
Kathleen Abbondanzo, her sons Christopher John, and Stephen, mother Nilda Perez,
her father Placido Contreras, her sister Yvonne Contreras, brother-in-law Kevin
Milian, brother Oscar Contreras, and sister-in-law Lela Contreras, as well as
nephews Jonathan Velez and Kevin Milian and niece Amealy Contreras. There are
too many cousins, Aunts, Uncles and friends like family to name. Miriam loved
children and children loved her. In lieu of flowers, we would suggest donating
to a good charity for children or young adults, like the Big Brother/Big Sister
program, the Job Corp program , or St Judes.
