Nicoletta Messina

  Nicoletta Messina. age 90 of Deer Park NY passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on September 2, 2022.

  Nicoletta was born on June 5, 1932 in New York City, NY, daughter of the late Pietro and Elizabeth Ursitti Rossi.  Nicoletta was actively involved with her church, St. Matthews in Dix Hills, NY as a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Rosary Altar Society.

  Nicoletta was an avid baker and enjoyed home improvement projects, but her passion was sharing her generous spirit with family and friends.

  Devoted wife and mother, predeceased by husband Salvatore, brothers Samuel, Anthony and Joseph Rossi, sisters Palma Saviola, Anne Carotta, Cynthia Zarella.  Survived by sister Margaret Calandrino, daughters Maria DeGregorio and husband Pat, Jacqueline Rindner and husband Louis and her son Anthony.  Grandchildren include Pasquale DeGregorio and wife Theresa, Nicholas DeGregorio and his wife Lorelei, Jonathan Rindner and his wife Meagan, Jordan Rindner. Great -grandchildren Pasquale, Antonio, Gianna, Domenica, Carmella, and Chiara. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
