Norman L. Stern, born on March 19, 1946, in the Bronx, New York, passed away on March 4, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, whose kindness and caring nature left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Norman dedicated his career to being a talented tile setter at Tiles By Norman in Deer Park, NY. His craftsmanship and attention to detail earned him the respect of his clients and colleagues alike. Norman was not only skilled in his trade but also exemplified a work ethic that inspired those around him. A high school graduate, Norman carried an enduring love for learning and personal growth.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Diana Stern, his children Larry Stern, Maria and her husband Dean Currao, Jennifer Mark, and Curt and his wife Debra Mark. He was a family man at heart, cherishing the moments spent with his grandchildren—Elle, Ryan, Dean, and Matthew. His deep affection for them was evident, as he poured his love and wisdom into nurturing the next generation. Norman is also survived by his brother, Gary Stern. The bonds he forged with his family were unbreakable, and his memory will continue to live on through their hearts and stories.
Visitation services will be held at the Deer Park – Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY 11729, on March 7, 2025. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Norman L. Stern will be remembered for his unwavering kindness and devotion to his family. He leaves behind a legacy filled with love that will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace.
