Patrick J. Cawley

Patrick J. Cawley of Dix Hills, age 55 ,died peacefully in his home after fighting a valiant battle with pancreatic cancer. Pat will be forever missed by his loving wife Flor, his two year old son, Michael, his miracle baby and his two beautiful step daughters , Gabriella and Camila that he adored. Pat also leaves behind his loving and his incredibly supportive siblings. Rod Cawley and his wife Barbara , Gerald Cawley and his wife Christine, Mary Gemma, Joanne Cawley Casey and husband Brian and Peggy Cawley. Pat was also an adoring uncle to his nieces and nephews, to which he had many. Family was everything to him. Pat was a long time and very successful State Farm agent who followed in his father’s footsteps in Queens, NY with great ease. He was greatly admired by his colleagues, friends and family. He made sure to instill this same work ethic in his wife, Flor so she could carry on what he left behind. His friends would certainly all agree that he was warm, compassionate, generous, loving, inclusive and had an incredible wit. As an avid Met and Jets fan, he would always take his friends to games . And then there was golf. He was passionate and enthusiastic about this sport and the people that he enjoyed it with . Pat was a unique individual. Words alone are not enough to describe this lovely man. Pat surrounded himself with very dear friends , new and old , that he knew would take care of his family after he was gone. There was no mistaking it. He will be so greatly missed by all and would never be forgotten.
