Paula Colón

Paula Colón, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on October 26, 2023, at the age of 102. Born in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico on September 3, 1921, Paula lived a remarkable life filled with kindness and care for her loved ones. Paula's loving nature extended to everyone she encountered throughout her life.

In her leisure time, Paula cherished being in the presence of her daughter, Carmen Rivera, and her grandson, Louis Iovione. Family meant everything to her. Her hobbies and interests revolved around creating lifelong memories with Carmen and Louis.

A visitation service will be held in Paula's honor on November 1, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Pk Ave in Deer Park, NY. This will provide an opportunity for family members, friends, and acquaintances to pay their respects and share fond memories of Paula's life.

On November 2nd, 2023, a burial ceremony will occur at Pinelawn Memorial Park located at 2030 Wellwood Ave in Farmingdale, NY. Those who wish to attend the funeral services are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:00 PM. This solemn event will provide an opportunity for loved ones to bid their final farewell and find solace in knowing that Paula's spirit will forever rest in a peaceful place.

Paula Colón was a beacon of love and compassion. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind her daughter Carmen Rivera, who will carry on Paula's nurturing spirit, and her grandson Louis Iovione, who carries the torch of her love and kindness.

Paula is preceded in death by her parents Juan and Justina. Although she may be physically absent, her spirit will forever surround us with warmth and comfort.
