It is with great sadness that we announce that Rambadal Ramoutar, 79, of Port St. Lucie, passed away on January 26th, 2022, leaving many heartbroken.
Rambadal was born on September 2nd, 1942 to Prandaye Seudath and Hapsing Boodoo in Penal, Trinidad and Tobago. He was the eldest of seven siblings, to which he was seen as a role model. Rambadal was always surrounded by a large family, including many cousins, aunts and uncles, from a very young age.
In his early years, you could find Rambadal playing cricket or swimming at the beach with friends. Rambadal attended St. Thomas Aquinas College and completed his studies at Caribbean Nazarene College in 1961.
In 1965, Rambadal married Chanardaye Phagoo and in 1966, he became a father to his oldest daughter, Rowan. He went on to have another daughter, Cheryl and two sons, Wren and Roddy by 1971.
Rambadal made a brave decision to migrate to Montreal, Canada in 1968 to start his new life, where he established his career as a custom lightning designer. He then moved to Long Island, NY in 1970, where he was joined by the rest of his family and continued his career as a designer. Rambadal would go on to design and draw plans for hundreds of lighting fixtures that would be installed across the United States, for the next 45 years. He even started a business called CRW Lightning Inc. with his children, Cheryl, Wren and Roddy.
Rambadal worked tirelessly to ensure his family had the world and more.
Rambadal welcomed his son and daughter in laws, Rick, Magic, Ann and Seema, with loving arms and treated them as his own.
In 1993, Rambadal became a grandfather to his eldest granddaughter, Shanta. He would become a grandfather of 6 : Brandon, Anjalee, Camryn, Ashton and Jayson, by 2007. He adored his grandchildren and had special relationships with each one.
Rambadal participated in many activities. He enjoyed painting sceneries for his friends and family, inspired by Bob Ross. He loved listening to “Old is Gold” classics and watching Bollywood movies. He prized cooking countless dishes for his family. One of his greatest joys was sharing stories.
In 2011, Rambadal and his wife moved to Port St. Lucie, FL, where he met some of his closest friends. He enjoyed watching the lake, chatting with neighbors, and cutting coconuts for him and his friends to enjoy.
Anyone who knew Rambadal, knew he was a kind soul with a big heart. Never hesitating to help a friend in need. Full of life and curious to see what more life had to offer. Always seen with a smile. To say that his family and friends will miss him greatly is an understatement. Forever Loved, Forever Missed & Forever in our Hearts.
