Ramon Souffront, M.D., a distinguished gastroenterologist and dedicated family man, passed away September 30, 2024, in Dix Hills, NY, at the age of 85. Born on August 30, 1939, in San Pedro de Macorix, Dominican Republic, Dr. Souffront dedicated his life not only to his profession but also to his family, embodying the values of hard work, compassion, and integrity.
Dr. Souffront built a successful career as a gastroenterologist, owning and operating his own private practice. His commitment to patient care and his profound medical expertise left an indelible mark on the lives of many who had the privilege of being under his care. He was highly regarded by his peers and patients alike for his dedication and professionalism.
Ramon is survived by his beloved wife, Dulce; his children, Grecia (Donald) Martinez, Ramon (Kimberly) Souffront, Carlos (Lon) Souffront, and Jacqueline Souffront; as well as his cherished grandchildren, Olivia, Ramon, Mila, and Ariana. Each of them carries forward his legacy of love and devotion. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Grecia Souffront, who laid the foundation for his strong work ethic and commitment to family values.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation scheduled for October 4, 2024, from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park, NY. A Mass celebrating his life will follow at St. Matthew R.C. Church in Dix Hills, NY, at 10:45 AM. Following the mass, family and friends will proceed to Saint Charles Cemetery in East Farmingdale, where Ramon will be laid to rest.
Dr. Ramon Souffront will be remembered for his contributions to medicine, his unwavering support for his family, and the love he shared with those around him. His presence will be profoundly missed, yet his legacy will endure through the lives he touched.
