Raymond R. Caggiano, born on September 2, 1930, in Brooklyn, New York, peacefully passed away on July 17, 2024. He was a retired aerospace engineer at Gruman and served his country with honor during the Korean War as part of the United States Navy. Raymond was a man of great integrity and kindness; to know him was to love him.
Raymond's journey on this earth was marked by his unwavering work ethic and genuine care for others. His Bachelor's degree laid the foundation for a successful career where he excelled in the field of engineering. Not only was he a talented professional, but he also found joy in various hobbies such as playing golf, cooking delicious meals, fishing in calm waters, painting beautiful landscapes, and immersing himself in music that touched his soul.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Raymond will remember him not only for his professional achievements but also for his kingly presence, caring nature, infinite patience, and his unparalleled honesty. He truly broke the mold when he came into this world and left an indelible mark on all those whose lives he touched.
Raymond is survived by his beloved spouse Joan Caggiano (Nee: Thoret), devoted daughter Barbara Caggiano, and caring son-in-law Joseph Ciaccio. He now joins his late father Salvatore Caggiano and late mother Susan Caggiano in eternal peace.
A memorial mass will be held at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, 2 Indian Head Road, Commack, New York 11725, on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024 at 11am. Family and friends who wish to attend the memorial mass are asked to meet directly at the church.
