Raymond G. Preston
August 16, 1943 — December 30, 2022
Raymond G. Preston passed away peacefully on December 30, 2022, at the age 79. Predeceased by his parents of George Preston and Helen Preston. Raymond is survived by his sister Madeline Pelletier. Loving father to Wayne L. (Michelle) Preston, Wynette (Joseph) Schram, Daniel Preston, Donna Preston and Loretta (Thomas) Heron. Cherished grandfather to Wayne Jr., Gabby, Samantha, Sabrina and Thomas, Jr.
Raymond resided in Sound Beach where he volunteered for the Sound Beach Fire Department before joining the United States Army in 1964. Once completing his years of service, he moved to Mount Sinai and then proudly volunteered for the Mount Sinai Fire Department for many years.
Raymond had a love for fishing on Long Island. He like doing wood working and car models. He also enjoyed fix Fire department equipment. Raymond was happy to help anyone.
