Raymond J. Jenkins, a dedicated electrician with Local 25 in Hauppauge, has sadly passed away on November 20, 2023, at the age of 85. Born on December 7, 1937, in Queens, NY, Raymond's life was marked by his unwavering commitment to his craft and his loved ones.

Raymond's journey began in the bustling borough of Queens, where he was born to John and Lilian Jenkins. After high school, he joined the Army and proudly served from 1955 to 1958. His military service exemplified his deep sense of duty and patriotism towards his country. He carried these values throughout his life and instilled them in all those around him.

Family always held a special place in Raymond's heart. He shared a loving bond with his wife Gloria, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Together, they created a warm and nurturing home filled with love and care. Raymond cherished his relationships with family and friends dearly. He leaves behind his sister Cynthia Dunphy and the late Daniel Dunphy, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Charles and Ginny Maglio.  Predeceasing Raymond is his beloved sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Concetta and Carmine Morrone. In addition to blood relatives, Raymond will be remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews whose lives were enriched by his presence. His guidance, affection, and support will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Throughout his career as a master electrician, Raymond earned the respect and admiration of those fortunate enough to work alongside him. Known for his exceptional skills and meticulous attention to detail, he became a trusted professional within the industry. Raymond's dedication to his craft was unmatched, as he continually sought out opportunities to expand his knowledge and stay up-to-date with advancements in technology. He was additionally an avid World War II model airplane builder and created many happy memories in his dedication to the craft.

In honor of Raymond's life, a series of services will be held to celebrate his memory. Visitation will take place on Friday, November 24, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729. A prayer service will follow from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location, followed by a burial service at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY.

Raymond's legacy of hard work, loyalty, and kindness will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace knowing that he made a profound impact on the lives of those around him.
