Richard “Dick” Miller died Sept. 16 at his home in Riverhead. He was 90 years old.
Born Feb. 1, 1928, in Belmore, Ohio, to Orvis and Marie (Dishon) Miller, Dick went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and worked for Grumman Aerospace Corporation.
Predeceased by his wife, Joan (ne Tuthill), in 2013 and his son Marlin, he is survived by his sons Richard and Glenn; his daughter, Denise; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors Friday, Sept. 21, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home in Riverhead.
A funeral service will take place Saturday, Sept. 22, at 10 a.m. at Riverhead United Methodist Church, the Rev. Dr. Enrique Lebrn officiating. Interment will be at the Old Burying Ground at First Presbyterian Church of Southold.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to Riverhead United Methodist Church.
