Richard M. Ehrlich

Richard M. Ehrlich, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on November 17, 1956, in the Bronx, New York to his parents Paul Ehrlich and Rose Marie Ehrlich. Richard built a life defined by kindness and compassion. He spent many years as an I.T. Manager in New York City, where his expertise and dedication left a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Richard was not just a professional. He was a family man whose love and devotion to his loved ones were evident in every aspect of his life. He is survived by his beloved wife, Tania Ehrlich, who stood by his side through thick and thin. His legacy continues through his children, each of whom carry a piece of his heart. He is survived by his daughter, Katarina, and her husband, Pierre Prepetit; his son, Christopher M. Ehrlich; his daughter, Lauren Ehrlich; his son Richard M. Ehrlich Jr.; and his daughter, Alexa Rose Ehrlich. Each child remembers him fondly as a guiding light, always encouraging them to follow their dreams.

Richard found an immense joy in being a grandfather, and he is survived by his precious grandchildren, Alani and Eliana, who brought boundless happiness to his life. His gentle spirit and caring nature made him a role model not only to his immediate family but also to many others whose lives he touched.

In honor of Richard’s memory, family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation services on April 29, 2025, at Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY. The first visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, followed by an evening visitation from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. A prayer service will also be held that evening at 8:00 PM.
