Richard Lombardi

Richard Lombardi was born on November 11, 1948, in Brooklyn, New York. He had a high school education and served in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) from 1967-1972. After completing his military service, he joined the NYPD and climbed up to become a retired Lieutenant of the NYC Police department.

Lombardi left an impression on all who knew him. His family and friends remember him as a lovable and devoted family man who cherished his time spent with his wife Rosemarie (Nee: Ferraro) Lombardi, his children; Richard J. (Cynthia), LisaAnn, and Steven (Kathryn). He was also proud of being a grandfather to three wonderful grandchildren named Joseph, Giovanna, and Izabella.

On June 9th, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Richard Lombardi at the age of 74 who passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. He now leaves behind countless memories for those close to him to cherish forever. The services will take place at Deer Park- Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Pk Ave in Deer Park, on June 11th starting at 7 PM to 9:30 PM and at same location on June 12th starting at 2 PM to 4:30 PM then again from 7 PM to 9:30 PM for those that wish to pay their final respects.

Looking back on Richard's life brings pride in knowing such an admirable person with great achievement lived among us; he has set an example of dedication towards community service with decades spent serving NYPD. His proudest accomplishment being promoted to Lieutenant exemplifies this dedication throughout this distinguished career.

Richard's amicable presence illuminated any room he walked into; not only did he have an illustrious professional record but also became a beacon around family and friends that loved him dearly. It is impossible not to miss or celebrate the life of someone who adorned so many people's world.

In his final moments, he was surrounded by family, constantly being reminded of the love and cherished memories as he departed this world. Farewell to our Richard Lombardi that will be remembered for generations to come.
