Rosa Domingo, a beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on May 16, 1934, in Italy, she was a remarkable individual whose life was dedicated to her family, friends, and community.
Rosa lived a life filled with love and commitment. A devoted wife and mother, she actively nurtured her family and created a warm home environment that brought joy to all. Her passion for cooking made every meal a cherished gathering, and her culinary skills were renowned among those fortunate enough to share a table with her. Rosa found solace in gardening, where she cultivated not just plants, but also deep connections with nature. Alongside her many talents, she was an adept seamstress, known for her creativity and attention to detail in every stitch.
Education was valued in Rosa’s life, where she completed high school, and from there, she embraced the role of nurturing and caring for her family above all. She instilled strong values in her daughters, Maria (her husband Giovanni) Cicciarella and Lucy (her husband Wayne) Scheck, both of whom carry her legacy forward. Rosa’s unwavering faith led her to attend church every week, reflecting her devotion and sense of community.
Rosa's legacy will be treasured by her loving family, including her grandchildren: Joanne Capozza, Rosemary Fasano, Paul Parisi, and Cristina Mohr. Each grandchild carries a piece of her spirit, along with her great-grandchildren: Massimo, Gianpalo, Sophia, Devie, P.J., Edward, Marcello, and Baby Mohr. These cherished relationships were a source of immense pride and happiness for Rosa as she watched her family grow.
Funeral services to honor Rosa will take place on March 16, 2025, with visitation from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Pk Ave, Deer Park, NY. A Mass celebrating her life will be held at Saint Matthew in Dix Hills on March 17, 2025, starting at 9:45 AM, followed by her burial at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale at 11:00 AM.
Rosa Domingo will be profoundly missed but lovingly remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life was a testament to love, family, and dedication, and her spirit will continue to inspire all who carry her memory forward.
