Rose G. Maffia passed away on May 25, 2023, at the age of 101 in West Islip, New York. She was a passionate and dedicated businesswoman who owned "The Donut Time" on City Island, who touched many lives in her community.
Born on April 15, 1922, in Bronx, New York to the late Antonio Pascazio and the late Theresa Pascazio (Nee: Greco). Rose had a loving and caring personality that radiated to everyone she met. Her family fondly remembers her warm heart, and her infectious smile.
Rose is survived by three daughters – Carol (the Late John) Manzolillo, Laraine (The Late Felix) Laquidara and Donna (Carmine) Fortunato - along with seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Her passing has left an unfillable void in their lives as they hold onto cherished memories of family gatherings where Rose was always at the center of it all.
An evening visitation service will be held between 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm on May 30th at Deer Park- Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park NY (11729). A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 11am - St Mary Star of the Sea Parish - 596 City Island Ave, Bronx, NY. A burial to follow immediately after Pelham Cemetery on City Island. We come together to not mourn but celebrate a life that brought so much happiness to everyone around her.
Rose G. Maffia left an indelible mark on those who knew her well. She will forever be remembered as one of a kind – charming, loving and delightful – who loved nothing more than spreading joy wherever she went. May her soul rest in eternal peace alongside her beloved spouse Albert (2003) and her parents.
