Rose McLean, a devoted technician for the Aerospace industry, passed away on December 3, 2023, at the age of 89. She was born on November 14, 1934, in New York, NY, to Joseph and Jean Azzara.

Rose was a loving wife to George McLean. They shared countless cherished memories together and provided unwavering support for each other throughout their marriage. Their bond was an example of love that stood the test of time.  Rose was also a nurturing and caring mother to her children. She is survived by her children; Gary Drago, Donna J. Drago, and Louis (Brenda) Drago as well as nieces; Karen Fontana Bruning, Dawn Fontana Bruning, Lori Fontana Cass, Kelly Azzara Dondero and many great nieces, great nephews and friends.  She was predeceased by her daughter Debra Drago, grandson James Drago, nephew Joseph Azzara and siblings Elizabeth Fontana and Charles Azzara.   Rose possessed an immense capacity for love and always put her family's needs before her own. She created a warm and welcoming home where love flourished. The joy of Rose's life extended beyond her immediate family as she took great pride in being a doting grandmother to four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with them, sharing laughter, and creating lasting memories.

Rose dedicated her career to the field of aerospace, working as a soldering technician at Potter Instruments in Plainview, NY. Her contributions played an essential role in advancing technology within the industry. Rose's precision and attention to detail were unmatched, and her work ethic was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation services to pay their respects. The first visitation will take place on December 10, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Pk Ave, Deer Park, NY, 11729. The second visitation will be held on the same day from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on December 11, 2023, starting at 10:30 AM at Saint Charles Cemetery, located at 2015 Wellwood Ave, East Farmingdale, NY, 11735. This final farewell will provide an opportunity for loved ones to gather and honor Rose's remarkable life.

Rose McLean's departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but her legacy of love and compassion will forever remain in our hearts. She exemplified strength and resilience throughout her life and taught us valuable lessons about the importance of family, dedication, and kindness.  As we bid farewell to Rose McLean today, let us remember her with gratitude and celebrate the extraordinary life she lived. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
