Rose C. Ranft, born on March 18, 1930, in Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024, in Commack, New York. She lived a remarkable life filled with love, faith, and devotion to those she cherished.
Rose moved out to Deer Park in 1960 from the Bronx, where she and her beloved husband of 71 years, Charles E Ranft, raised their family together. They shared a deep bond that enriched both their lives. As a devoted mother, she took immense pride in her daughter, Dr. Lorraine Ranft, who continued to embody the values Rose instilled in her. Lorraine, along with her husband Robert Kulungian, brought joy to Rose's life, further enriched by the presence of her cherished grandson, Alex Kulungian. Rose’s love extended to her sister, Lena Canella, and Lena's husband Tony, forming a strong family unit that shared many beautiful memories together. Rose is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anna Augello, who laid the foundation of her nurturing spirit and her unwavering commitment to family.
A visitation in honor of Rose will take place on November 11, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY 11729. Following this, a Mass will be held on November 12, 2024, at 9:15 AM at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church, 125 Half Hollow Road, Deer Park, NY 11729, concluding at 10:15 AM. Following the church, family and friends will proceed to Calverton National Cemetery, where Rose will be laid to rest.
