It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rosemary Dorney, a cherished matriarch who left this world on September 3, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on April 22, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York, Rosemary embodied warmth, strength, and unconditional love throughout her life.

She is survived by her beloved sons, James and his wife Kate Most, and Richard and his wife Eleanor Most as well as Suann and her husband Andy Restivo, Jackie and her husband Victor Labron, and Steven Dorney. As a loving grandmother, she delighted in the presence of her five grandchildren; Samantha, Richard, Sarah, Colin, and Brendan, and her one great-grandchild. The bond Rosemary shared with her children and their families was truly extraordinary, showcasing her role as the loving matriarch who always prioritized family above all else. 

Family was the cornerstone of her existence, and her home was often filled with laughter, conversation, and, most importantly, the aroma of her delicious home-cooked meals. Sunday dinners were sacred in Rosemary's household, where she would gather her loved ones, serving up love along with every dish she prepared. Her cooking was a reflection of her nurturing spirit; each meal was crafted with care and served with a smile.

Rosemary was a woman of remarkable strength who faced the challenges of life with unwavering resilience. Her tireless dedication to her family knew no bounds, and her home mirrored her penchant for order, always neat and filled with the warmth of her personal touch. She had a way of making everyone feel special, whether through a heartfelt conversation or the simple act of sharing a meal together.

Rosemary's legacy of love, strength, and delicious meals will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mangano Family Funeral Home located at 1701 Deer Pk Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729.

While Rosemary may have departed from this earthly realm, her spirit will continue to inspire and hold her family together with the love she instilled in all those fortunate enough to know her.
