Rupert Penheiro

Rupert Penheiro has peacefully passed away on June 2, 2024 at age 76. Born in Bangladesh on January 31, 1948, Rupert's journey was marked by unwavering commitment and a passion for nurturing young minds.

With a Bachelor's degree in hand, Rupert embarked on a fulfilling career in education that spanned decades. His classroom was not just a space for learning but a haven where students found inspiration and guidance. 

Rupert is survived by his beloved spouse, Mary Maya Penheiro, who stood by his side through thick and thin. His memory will also be cherished by his children: Neil (and his wife Nicola), Natasha (and her husband Daniel) Penheiro, Norman (and his wife Jacinta). In addition to his loving family, Rupert leaves behind five adoring grandchildren who will always carry his spirit within them.

The life of Rupert Penheiro will be commemorated at Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park, NY, on Friday, July 12, 2024. A visitation will take place from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Following this, a Graveside Service will be held at the North Babylon Cemetery in Babylon at 3:00 PM. 

As we bid farewell to Rupert, we celebrate a life well-lived and a soul that touched many hearts. May his kindness and wisdom continue to guide us in the years to come. Rest in peace, dear Rupert Penheiro.
