Ruth E. Baumgardt (nee Raynor) passed away peacefully on September 9, 2017. She lived to be 54 years old.
Mrs. Baumgardt worked for the State of New Jersey as a Cottage Training Supervisor at the Hunterdon Developmental Center.
Outside of work, Ruth volunteered for the Phillipsburg Emergency Squad, Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts of America and the Young Men’s Italian Association. A fierce and loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees, Ruth enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
In addition to her husband – Eric Baumgardt – she is also survived by her three children – Kyle, Kelsey and Katie – as well as her mother Sharon Raynor; her sister Barbara Good and her husband Scott; her sister Laurie Gilroy and her husband Joseph; and her sister Tara Raynor-Perez and her husband Byron Perez. Her nieces and nephews include Neill, Christopher, Kiaya, Shelby, Bryan, Brionna, Anna, Tim, Alex and Jaydy.
She was predeceased by her father – George Harvey Raynor Sr. – and her brother, George Harvey Raynor Jr.
Services will be held at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home: 406 East Main Street, Riverhead, NY 11901.
Visiting hours are from 2 PM to 4 PM and 7 PM to 9 PM at the funeral home on 9/14/17.
Funeral service will be held at 12 Noon at the funeral home on 9/15/17 with Internment to follow at the Riverhead Cemetery on Roanoke Avenue in Riverhead, NY.
