Santos B. Galo, a cherished matriarch and radiant soul, peacefully passed away on August 29,2024, at the age of 95. Born on March 26, 1929, in El Salvador, Santos carried the warmth and vibrancy of her homeland throughout her life, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

As a devoted woman, Santos found immense joy in nurturing her seven beloved children, each of whom carries a piece of her legacy. Her devotion extended to her numerous grandchildren, as she embraced her role as a grandmother with love and kindness, instilling values of unity and compassion in the next generation.

Santos was a hard-working individual, known for her unwavering dedication to her family and home. Her infectious smile could light up any room, and her genuine warmth made everyone feel welcomed and cherished. She had a passion for bringing her family together, often creating memorable gatherings that were filled with love, laughter, and sweet treats — a reflection of her own picky palate, which favored sweets above all.

An avid lover of nature, Santos found joy in visiting parks and tending to her plants and flowers, cultivating beauty in her surroundings. Friends and family may pay their respects during visitation at the Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park, NY, on August 31, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Santos' spirit is sure to live on in the hearts of her children and numerous grandchildren, whose lives she touched with her love and gentle kindness. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
