Tara O'Donnell

Tara Kathleen O'Donnell, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 8, 2024, in Calverton, NY. She was born on April 19, 1993.

Her memory will be cherished by her loving parents, Michael and Karen, her brother Michael (Johana) O'Donnell, her niece Shea and nephew Ronan. Tara touched the lives of many, and her loss is deeply felt by all who knew her.

Tara loved her family, musicals, and horseback riding at Pal-O-Mine in Islandia. Although small in stature her presence filled every room, always bringing out the best in those around her. She dazzled not only with her personality but also her “sparkly” fashion trends. Tara’s sense of humor, timely “one-liners”, and loving spirit will be treasured forever.



Friends and family are invited to pay respects at the visitation which will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. The first visitation will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM followed by another session from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home located at 406 E Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901.  A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Saint John the Evangelist R.C Church, pending time.  Following the mass, Tara will be laid to rest at Saint Charles Cemetery in East Farmingdale, NY.



Tara’s initials (“T.K.O.”) were fitting, as she was a fighter who overcame so many of the challenges life forced upon her. She was a true inspiration. Tara will be remembered for her kindness, compassion, and bright spirit. Her absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
