Teresa Frances Joy-Kelly

Teresa Frances Joy-Kelly was born on April 16, 1928, in New York, NY. She peacefully departed this world on November 8, 2023, in Middle Island, NY. It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Teresa: a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Teresa dedicated her life to serving others as a therapy aide at Kings Park Psychiatric Center. Her compassionate and selfless nature touched the lives of countless patients and their families. She had a unique ability to bring comfort and solace to those who needed it most.

But Teresa's caring nature didn't end with her profession. She carried it into every aspect of her life, nurturing deep and meaningful relationships with family and friends. She created a loving home for her husband, the late John Gerard Kelly. Their partnership was filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Teresa was also a devoted mother to two daughters: Teresa Frances Joy and Loraine Moraldo. She embraced the joys and challenges of motherhood wholeheartedly, instilling in them the values of compassion and care that she lived by. Her daughters were blessed to have such an incredible role model in their lives. Family was always at the center of Teresa's world, and she cherished the relationships she had with her five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Their visits brought immense joy to her heart, filling their time together with laughter and cherished memories.

In addition to her immediate family members mentioned above, Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Anthony. Their love and guidance laid the foundation for Teresa's life of service and touched her in countless ways.

Teresa Frances Joy Kelly leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and love that will be cherished by all those whose lives she touched.
