Thelma Ruth Richards

Thelma Ruth Richards of Riverhead died Oct. 22, 2018 at San Simeon by the Sound. She was 80 years old.

She was born Oct. 1, 1938 in Plaquemine, Louisiana to Monroe Richardson and Ruth Jenkins.

She worked for Suffolk County as a data entry operator.

Predeceased by her husband James, she is survived by her daughters Colette and Wanda Richards, her sons Michael (Lisa) Richardson, Jacques and Dwayne (Trina) Richards, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Oct. 27 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home. A funeral service conducted by the Rev. Henry Belin is scheduled for Oct. 27 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
