Theodore "Ted" R. Rose, passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 94. Born on April 16, 1929, in Queens, NY to his parents Theodore E. Rose and Helen Rose. Ted left an indelible mark on the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Ted was a man of great character and integrity. He served with utmost dedication as an Army soldier during the Korean War and carried that same sense of duty throughout his life. His commitment to his work as a Cargo Agent for Northwest Airlines at JFK Airport was unparalleled, and he approached each day with unwavering determination and professionalism.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Ted cherished spending time with his wife, Margaret Rose. Their love story was one for the ages, built upon trust, respect, and a deep connection that sustained them through the highs and lows of life. Together, they created countless cherished memories.
Ted's devotion extended to his children as well— Christopher Rose, Thomas Rose, Laura-Jean (Sergio) Liberatore and Linda (Jim) Maloney. Theodore relished in the joyous moments shared as a family and took pride in witnessing each of his children carve their own paths in life. He was a beloved grandfather to Victor, Ana (dec.2008), April, Geena (John), Thomas (Samantha), Heidi (Neil), Brian (Jessica), Kayla, Lucas, Jesse, Jack, Michael, and Kevin. He cherished his two great grandchildren Cecilia and Olivia and took great pride in watching them grow up. In addition to his family, Ted leaves behind a network of friends and colleagues who will forever remember him.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation services to honor Ted's memory. The visitation events will take place on February 9, 2024, at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park, NY. The first visitation will commence at 2:00 PM and conclude at 4:30 PM, followed by the second visitation from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM. A funeral mass will be held on February 10, 2024 at Saint Matthew Roman Catholic Church, 10:45am.
Ted has left an indelible imprint on the hearts of all who had the pleasure of crossing his path. He loved to tell a joke and his adored personality and loving nature will be remembered as a shining example of how to embrace life's joys and navigate its challenges. As we mourn his loss, we celebrate the profound impact he had on our lives and treasure the memories we shared with him.
