Thomas Irons, a dedicated jeweler from Cedarhurst, NY, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2024, at the age of 85. Born on August 8, 1939, in Queens, New York to his parents Alexander and Evelyn, he lived a life marked by craftsmanship, devotion to his family, and a passion for his profession.
Thomas cultivated a successful career as a jeweler, where he earned respect and admiration from both clients and colleagues alike. His attention to detail and artistry were evident in every piece he created, reflecting his commitment to quality and excellence in his craft. Thomas also served in the Inwood Fire Department, Hook and Ladder company 313, becoming a Captain.
Survived by his beloved wife, Frances Irons, Thomas's family was the cornerstone of his life. He is also mourned by his daughters, Francine Irons and Dennis DeMarco, and Susan and her husband Bob Kemmann, and his son Christopher Irons. Thomas cherished his role as a grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love for his grandchildren: Matthew, Melissa, Gabrielle, and Christopher Jr.
Friends and family will have the opportunity to come together to honor Thomas's life during a visitation service on December 29, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY. A prayer service will be held during visitation at 5:00 PM.
Thomas Irons will be remembered for his warmth, dedication to his family, and the beautiful creations he left behind. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
