Messemer, Thomas J., Jr., on January 26, 2018 of North Babylon, formerly of Bay Side. Beloved husband of Rita Messemer (Gaitanis). Loving father of
Thomas (Vera), John (Karen), and Elizabeth (Gerald) Gilrane. Adored grandfather of Kayla, Gerald, Thomas, Megan, Caroline, Catherine, Victoria,
Julianna, and Emily. Dear brother of Myra Pfeiffer, and Edgar, and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Thomas was a proud Veteran and Purple Heart recipient of the Korean War.
He was a long time volunteer at Department of VA in Northport, and a life member of D.A.V. and the 35th Infantry, 25th Division. His legacy is love of family, his generosity, and
wit. Visitation Monday 2-4:30pm & 7-9:30pm at Mangano Funeral Home, Inc., 1701 Deer Park Avenue Deer Park, NY 11729. Funeral Mass Tuesday, 10:15AM at Ss. Cyril
and Methodius RC Church, Deer Park, NY. Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to The Department
of Veteran Affairs, 79 Middleville Road Northport, NY 11768.
