Veronica M. Tierney Hornby

Veronica M. Tierney Hornby, passed away on June 25, 2024. She was born on October 8, 1934, in New York, NY to her parents Eugene and Nora.

Veronica dedicated her career to shaping young minds in New York as a teacher. Her passion for education touched the lives of many students throughout her years service. She continued to pursue knowledge and obtained a Masters Degree in her field to further enhance her teaching abilities and provide the best education possible to those under her care. Veronica warm personality and nurturing spirit endeared her to all who knew her. 

The services to honor Veronica's life will be held at Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park, NY. A visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Closing prayers will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024, starting at 8:15 AM for those who wish to pay their final respects, followed by a Mass at Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church at 9:15 AM. A burial will follow immediately after at Calvary Cemetery in Woodside, NY.
