Victor J. Cangro, Jr. - Beloved Business Owner and Family Man
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Victor J. Cangro, Jr., a cherished family man and esteemed business owner. Victor peacefully departed from this world on August 9, 2023, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be remembered.
Born on June 26, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York, Victor was the treasured son of the late Victor and Rose Cangro. Growing up in a loving household, he developed a strong work ethic and an unwavering commitment to his family.
With an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire for success, Victor established Cangro Industries in Farmingdale, New York. As the owner and operator of this thriving business, he contributed significantly to the local community while building lasting relationships with employees and customers alike.
Victor's kindness and warm personality were truly remarkable. He cherished his family above all else and embraced every opportunity to spend quality time with them. His love for his wife, Gail Cangro (née: Truran), was evident in every gesture and conversation they shared. Together they created a nurturing environment for their two daughters, Tanya (John) Lucas and Nicole (Anthony) Botta.
As a doting grandfather to Jagger Lucas, Demi Botta, Jett Lucas, Alexis Lucas, Jesse Lucas and Dean Botta, Victor brought immeasurable joy into their lives. He reveled in their accomplishments and milestones, demonstrating unwavering support throughout their journeys. Victor's presence extended far beyond the confines of his immediate family circle. He maintained strong bonds with his brother Ronnie Cangro and his brother-in-law Richard Truran as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will cherish the memories shared with him. Victor was predeceased by his brother Larry Cangro.
To honor and pay tribute to Victor, visitation services will be held at the Deer Park- Mangano Family Funeral Home on August 13, 2023. The first visitation will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM, followed by a second visitation from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM on the same day. A mass will be held at Saint Elizabeth of Hungary R.C. Church in Melville, New York, beginning at 9:30 AM.
The loss of Victor J. Cangro, Jr. leaves an unfillable void in the lives of all who knew and loved him. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the incredible life he lived—one marked by love, dedication, and selflessness. His spirit will continue to resonate within our hearts for generations to come.
