Vincent Anthony Varbero, Vinny, is resting in peace after a hard fought battle against pancreatic cancer. He was born into an Italian family in the Bronx in 1947. He grew up in Nassau County where he also worked as a Police Officer in both the Fifth and Second Precincts. He was very proud of his time on the force. He loved boating and being out on the water almost as much as he enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow. He treasured his memories of Woodloch Pines and Baumann’s. Be it the food, games, shows, horse racing or family times, those memories brought Vinny much happiness. He will be missed by his family; Loretta, Joseph, Matthew, Vincent, Zachary, Alexandra, Nicholas, Keenan, Shealyn, Rich, Suzanne, Barbara, Taryn, Pete, Karissa, Lukas, Brian, Tracey, Frankie, Katelyn, Emily, Brady, Tori, Annie, Lexi, Harley, Kayden, and Brielle.
In lieu of flowers we would like to honor his fight against Pancreatic Cancer by donating to the Lustgarten Foundation or by planting trees in our National Forests. Please find the links below and use the following information to let us know.
