Vincent J. Monaco, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and dear friend to many, passed away on September 28, 2023. He was born on August 26, 1937, in Queens, New York to his parents James and Mary Monaco.
Vincent's legacy will forever be cherished by those who knew him best. His loving spouse, Josette Monaco, shared a strong bond with him throughout their life together. Vincent was a devoted father to his son James (Carol) Monaco and daughter Lisa (Frank) Miranda. He took immense joy in spending time with his children and enriched their lives with wisdom and compassion.
Family meant everything to Vincent, and he embraced the role of being a grandfather with great enthusiasm. He leaves behind five grandchildren; Vincent (Joanne) Monaco, Anthony (Tabitha) Monaco, Alexa Miranda, Ashley Miranda, Julianna Monaco (Joseph Sausa) who brought endless happiness to his life. Additionally, he was blessed with a great-grandchild; James Monaco, who will carry forth Vincent's spirit of love and kindness.
Vincent is survived by his sister, Concetta (Vincent) Anzano, whose presence brought joy and support throughout his journey. Their cherished memories together will always be treasured by the family.
Vincent led a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and selflessness. Vincent graduated with a Bachelor's degree in his pursuit of knowledge and personal growth. Former chief of the Bethpage Fire Deparment, where he will be deeply missed.
A visitation in honor of Vincent is scheduled for October 1st, 2023 at the Deer Park - Mangano Family Funeral Home in Deer Park, NY from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. It will be an opportunity for friends and loved ones to come together, share memories, and offer support to one another during this difficult time.
A Mass to celebrate Vincent's life will be held on October 2nd, 2023 at the Saints Cyril & Methodius R.C. Church in Deer Park, NY. The Mass will commence at 11:15 AM. It is a time to express gratitude for the impact Vincent had on our lives and find solace in the memories we shared with him.
In honoring Vincent's life, let us remember his unwavering love for his family, his relentless dedication to helping others, and his ability to bring joy and light into any room he entered. As we bid him farewell, may we find comfort in the knowledge that Vincent's legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the goodness he shared with the world.
